Pointing Your Domain to staXscale Print

  • 0

To take your site live, you must update your DNS settings at your domain registrar. You have two options:

Option 1: Use staXscale Nameservers (Recommended)
This lets you manage all your DNS records directly inside the staXscale dashboard.
1. Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy).
2. Find the Nameservers section.
3. Replace the existing nameservers with the staXscale nameservers provided in your account welcome email.

Option 2: Use an "A Record"
Use this if you want to keep your DNS management at your current registrar.
1. Find the IP address of your staXscale server in your dashboard (under Domains or Connection Info).
2. Log in to your registrar's DNS manager.
3. Update the A Record for @ (root) to point to your staXscale IP.
4. Update the CNAME for www to point to your root domain.

Propagation
DNS changes typically take minutes to update, but can occasionally take up to 24-48 hours to propagate globally.
